Happy Valentines Day

A season of LOOOOOOOVE is in the air. It's time to tell someone you love them and hold them dear to you! Well, I suppose we are suppose to do that, but its a celebration for love! We will go with that.

When I was single and bitter, I use to laugh at how many breakups happened on Valentines Day. I know, evil right? My roomate, Brendan, and I would sit there in our apartment and just laugh "suckers! How many facebook relationships did you see end today?" Was quite entertaining.

Anyways...

Happy Valentines Day and I mean that with sincerity. I do. You see, when we fail to ever experience love, we are jealous of it. So we HATE it when other people are happy. I heard a comedian say one time, "When your not in a relationship - everyone else was and they were all happy. Then when you were, everyone else was single and happy and you were miserable."

I love being in Love. 5 years now. This love is so much different than I have ever experienced. We need love in our lives. We need to be able to love, and we need to permit love to happen.

If God loved, why wouldnt we? He tells us in John 3:16 that he SO LOVED the world that he gave his only Son.

Jesus loved us so much to continue being beaten so that we could spend eternity with him. He took on the shame, ridicule, and ultimately death so we could be loved by the Father in Heaven.

I hope you experience this love more than any other in your life. May you experience the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
