We all want more good days than bad days, but sometimes we bring on the bad days ourselves. Here is a list of things you can start to eliminate from your daily routines to help you move forward instead of staying stuck in the rut!
1. Replaying the past
It is done - there is no going back so whatever it is that is replaying in your head just eliminate it. How? tell it to leave you alone. Make up your mind right now to just put it behind you and forget about it. Replaying something that is toxic over and over and over is not going to help you move forward!
Let it go!
Learn from it and move on.

2. Letting small and unimportant things trip you up
I am a victim of this, but have come to a place where i can finally just move on from little things. Get water in the socks? Move on - so what?
You had to rush out the door instead of enjoy your coffee?
The kids didnt respect what you do for them and screamed in your face because you had to get them to school?
Ok, that happened - deep breath and now its time to just move on to what is important in your day. People, circumstances, etc - all are out of your control sometimes. Control what is in your control and forget the rest.

3. Gossip
It is never good and it never leads you to a good place. Avoid talking about other people like the plague. Because it is a plague. Once you get sucked in - your sucked into those negative emotions. Just stay away - politely excuse yourself from a negative conversation - and enjoy the fact you dont have to know about who Sally was talking to in the home section of Walmart while her dog was biting the mail man...
4. Negative Self Talk
Just stop it already with the negative self talk. How is it possibly constructive for you to be so hard on yourself? I mean, seriously. "You're going to get fired and lose the house!" "You're never going to advance here so why try?" "You're just average with no more skill than anyone else! You wont find a different job, you're stuck!"
Just stop!!! It isnt helpful and its toxic if you are trying to enjoy your day! Instead, find something positive whenever something negative tries to creep into your head!
5. Speaking negatively about how your day is going
You want a bad day? Go ahead, start talking about how bad the day is going to be! Don't curse the day when you havent even started it yet! How does that make any sense.
I remember a day when I was working a sales call. I looked down, gas is almost out. I got to the office late and had to drive an hour to my meeting, which was an hour away - no time/ruling for error.
I started my drive, now I had to pee - great!
I remember being in the traffic jam at a road construction site just feeling defeated when I said - NO! No way! I am winning today.
I got to the appointment - apologized to the prospect for being late - did my thing and walked out of there with one of the biggest sales of my career.
Now is it like this every time? No. I could have easily called them to reschedule since I was "having such a terrible day" - but I kept on going and declared it was going to be an excellent day.
